Volume of the cylinder?

A normal-level "Volume" problem.Cylinders and prisms alike are "base area × height". The only difference is whether the base is a circle or a polygon.

GivenBase radius 3 cm / height 10 cm / π = 3.14

Hints

1. The volume of a prism-like solid is "base area × height". Start with the area of the bottom circle.
2. A circle's area is "radius × radius × π": 3 × 3 × 3.14 = 28.26 cm².
3. A cylinder is that circle stacked up to a height of 10 cm.
4. So 28.26 × 10 is the answer.
