How many degrees is angle x?
A normal-level "Angle" problem. The angles of a triangle add to 180° because cutting them off and lining them up makes a straight line.
Hints
- The three angles of the triangle are coloured differently.
- An angle is a size, so moving it changes nothing. Gather all three at one point below.
- The triangle is gone; here are just the three angles, laid out large. No gaps, no overlaps — one straight line. A triangle's three angles always total 180°.
- The two we know are 50° and 60°. Together they already use up 110° of this line.
- The rest of the 180° line, after removing those two, is angle x.
- 180 − 110 gives the answer.
Answer 70°
